National Volunteer Month

April is National Volunteer Month. This month is dedicated to honoring all of the volunteers in our communities as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the year.

Here at The Giving Tree, we would like to give a heartfelt thanks to each and every one of our amazing volunteers. Some give an hour… and some have given hundreds of hours. But each and every one of them are dedicated to our nonprofit and believe in our mission. The Giving Tree could not function without them. We thank each of them from the bottom of our hearts!

NEW Project Launch!

In Montgomery County alone, 1 in 5 kids in local schools is at risk for food insecurity. That number drastically increases as we move into the summer months when these children can no longer count on being fed breakfast and lunch at their local school.

Hence, the launch of our ‘Brunch for You’ Bag.  This assortment of nutritious snacks was designed specifically with these youth in mind.  It is our goal to complete 800 of these bags for area food banks.
